Our Classes
Our therapeutic/trauma-sensitive yoga classes focus on breath, mindfulness and movement to bring safe connection to your body and to the present moment.
In our classes we start with mindfulness and breathing then add in gentle postures or movements. The goal of our classes is not to focus on how the pose looks or to achieve peak pose….but our focus is to approach each practice with gentleness and grace for oneself and to bring greater awareness to the present moment experience in body, mind and spirit, helping bring connection, regulation and safety to it.
The practice of yoga promotes calming your nervous system, it also is an opportunity to build tolerance in the tension of calm and challenge (building distress tolerance). Each class is an opportunity to explore sensation in the body with safety and guidance.
In all our classes you are given the choice to use essential oils...In person classes essential oils will be provided for you to use.
Therapeutic practices are for anyone….from beginner to yogi....young to old.

Class Descriptions
We offer a variety of different classes throughout the year, these listed are our most commonly offered class series.
Gentle Yoga with Christ centered meditations:
This is an hour-long class that offers a slower pace with time for Christ centered meditation, breath work, and calming movements and postures.
Benefits of a Christ center therapeutic practice can include learn emotional regulation skills through connection with the breath and increased body awareness, increased flexibility, reduce stress, reduce pain and joint strain, relieve anxiety and depression, creates mindfulness, find out where you hold stress in your body, boosts immune system, quiets the mind, clearer thinking, healing to emotional pain, overall sense of balance for the body, mind and spirit.
Gentle Yoga:
This is an hour-long class that offers a slower pace with time for mindfulness, meditation, breath work, and calming movements and postures.
Benefits of this practice can include learn emotional regulation skills through connection with the breath and increased body awareness, increased flexibility, reduce stress, reduce pain and joint strain, relieve anxiety and depression, creates mindfulness, find out where you hold stress in your body, boosts immune system, quiets the mind, clearer thinking, healing to emotional pain, overall sense of balance for the body, mind and spirit.
Restore:
This hour long class allows for more time in each posture and for deeper breathing to help bring about the relaxation response and really release the underlying tension deep in the joins and muscles.
Benefits of a restorative yoga practice; slows down the pace of life, calming to nervous system (relax at the cellular level), deepens self awareness, creates mindfulness, full and deep stretching for pain relief, enhance flexibility, notice where you hold stress, boosts your immune system, quiets your mind, helps with healing emotional pain, helps with deeper connection in meditation.
Chair Yoga with Christ centered meditation:
This hour long class is a gentle form of yoga that can be done sitting on a chair or standing next to a chair for support. We'll be using our breath to guide our movements and focus our mind on Christ centered meditation.
Benefits of chair yoga can include; improved flexibility, better concentration, increased strength, improved mood, reduce stress, reduce pain and joint strain, relieve anxiety and depression, improve proprioception ( the skill of knowing where your body is in space, and coordinating your movements accurately) and more.
Mindfulness Group:
Mindfulness is paying attention, on purpose, to the present moment and approaching everything one is experiencing with kindness and curiosity.
This 30 min guided mindfulness practice helps one connect to and live fully in the present moment. We practice mindfulness and focused breathing. This practice helps regulate and calm the body’s stress response. It teaches one to hold space for oneself no matter what one is experiencing. The goal of this practice is over time, one can begin to be self led and bring mindfulness into their daily life, approaching stressful or hard situations in a mindful manner. This will help one to regulate the body and emotions to live, act and think more clearly and calmly.

The Christ centered meditation we practice in our Holy Yoga classes is practicing focusing your mind on the Truths of scripture to help you bring it into your everyday life so you can be transformed from the inside out.
